Uniform

One of the main motive to distribution of free uniform is to over come financial barrier . It comes to notice during the planning process that some children unable to continue their studies because they are unable to purchase uniform for schools

The RTE Act mandates free and compulsory education for all children in Government schools. Uniforms constitute an expense which poor families are often not able to afford, and thus becomes a barrier for many children pursue and complete elementary education.

During the year 2022-23, Funds of Rs. 518.23 lacs (@ Rs 600 per child) were approved for 86372 students . in district Tarn Taran

Out of these funds one set of uniform comprising one pair of Suit salwar Dupatta for girls, Trouser, shirt turban for boys, Shoes, socks and sweaters for eligible children were provided , but as the funds @ Rs 600 child were provided by GOI
